A Fun Las Vegas Elopement at Little White Wedding Chapel

Stephanie and Jacent came to Las Vegas ready to get married their way: relaxed, fun, and surrounded by a small group of people closest to them. Their June elopement at Little White Wedding Chapel had exactly the classic Vegas character Stephanie had been hoping for, and after the ceremony we spent some time around the chapel creating portraits that embraced the location.

One of my favorite parts of photographing Little White Wedding Chapel is how many recognizable Vegas details are packed into one property. We started with Stephanie and Jacent together beneath the Wedding Chapel sign, keeping things close and simple while letting their expressions do most of the work.

From there, we stepped out toward Las Vegas Boulevard. The vintage Little White Wedding Chapel roadside sign, palm trees, blue sky, and the Strat in the distance gave us a completely different look without having to leave the chapel. Stephanie and Jacent walked together along the sidewalk, giving us one of those unmistakably Vegas elopement photographs she had envisioned from the beginning.

We continued around the chapel grounds for a few more portraits using the original signage and white architecture as the backdrop. Rather than making everything feel overly posed, I wanted to give Stephanie and Jacent room to interact naturally. Their personalities came through immediately, which made these photographs feel like them while still incorporating all the recognizable details of Little White Wedding Chapel.

Of course, we also had to have a little fun with it. Stephanie brought out a pair of statement sunglasses for a relaxed portrait together inside one of the chapel’s covered areas. It was a perfect fit for a couple who told me before the wedding that while they might be 50, they still like to have fun.

Stephanie and Jacent wanted the traditional Vegas elopement experience, and Little White Wedding Chapel gave us plenty of ways to capture it. From the vintage signs and Las Vegas Boulevard to the quieter moments between the two of them, their gallery feels distinctly Vegas without losing sight of what the day was really about.

If you’re planning your own Las Vegas elopement and want photographs that include the character of the chapel along with relaxed portraits that feel like you, I’d love to help you plan the photography around your day.
